St. Patricks Day 2012
One week before St. Patricks Day 2012, Hollywood Florida held a St. Patricks Day parade. It was a little difficult, at first, getting into the spirit. That didn't last long as we walked into the sea of green heading for our usual spot to watch the parade. Everyone was Irish this day and green beer was never more than a few feet away. The pre-parade was nice. A stage was set up at one end of the main street, Hollywood blvd., and musicians were playing as the young children danced authentic Irish steps. Crowds gathered and watched cheering them on. It seemed everyone had a smile this day. Ten minutes until show time we zigzagged through the crowd and made it to our spot. Excitement filled the air as the first walkers came down the road tossing green beads to those along the side lines watching. The children had the best of fun, as it should be and the adults were not far behind. This was the first year we did not bring at least one of our cameras. I then realized that my cell phone had video and photo capability. Here is a little of what I shot with my palm pre phone.

Fate
We were on vacation in North Florida. We stayed in a cabin at a state park for the first few days and then at a Bed & Breakfast for the last few days. As we were shopping at the park gift store, the clerk struck up a conversation. Her wedding was in a few days and it would be an 18 century theme. Authentic clothes were to be worn as with a traditional ceremony of that time period. Being videographers, we asked who was doing the video. They were not having video, just photography. As we continued our conversation, the clerk informed us that the owner of the Bed & Breakfast we were to stay in, is the officiant of her wedding. Now, was this just a mere coincidence or was it fate. Thinking it would be interesting to shoot and how we happened upon this store clerk that tied in with the Bed & Breakfast, we had little choice but to offer our services free of charge. The clerk agreed and lucky for us we had just enough equipment to pull it off. I do not ignore signs like this. Perhaps in the past I have, but now I believe everything happens for a reason and I must pay attention to the signs. Yes it's a small world and the one traffic light town we were in is even smaller but still, what are the odds. The wedding was held on the tree farm owned by the brides parents. Everyone was so nice and we had a great time. The owner of the Bed & Breakfast let us stay an extra night, free of charge, so we could shoot the video and not have to drive all night to get home. If you would like to see an edited version of what we gave them, here it is. I hope you enjoy it.

It's That Time of Year
Hello folks. There are not enough hours in a day for me this time of year. I'm not complaining, I'm happy to have all this work. I have four event videos waiting to get in my computer to be edited. I have two in my computer which I am working on and I have three weddings booked over the next five weeks. I stopped advertising with AdWords. Word of mouth seems to be enough right now. I am excited about working with my local Church. we will be putting together a DVD commemorating their 50th anniversary. This should be a lot of fun. I enjoy this type of project. Weddings are great, I just like mixing things up a little. The church project will be time consuming, due to the nature of the project, but we have until October of this year to complete it. Time does fly so I need to stay on top of it. Thanks for checking out our blog and I hope to be doing business with you soon.
